RARE FIND! - This beautiful piece is an vintage architectural pediment that is thick, heavy and made of pressed stone. It features a central mascaron depicting a satyr, faun, or Green Man motif maybe Dionysus / Bacchus.
The semi-circular shape acts as a fan-like frame, radiating outward like a large shell or sunburst behind the central character with beading. The face itself features stylized, sweeping eyebrows, pointed ears, and a mischievous grin, capturing the wild and dramatic expressions characteristic of classical theater or mythological attendants of Dionysus. This centerpiece can be made into a fountain by drilling a hole in the mouth. This piece is extremely rare and probably one of kind. A wonderful piece for sure. VERY HEAVY!
